Some tips on proper negative and slide storage...

| The best way to handle delicate negatives and slides is to store them in Archival quality storage binders and boxes. The sleeves provided by the photo developers are sometimes non acid-free so choose either non-acid boxes or polypropylene (not vinyl) ring binder pages. Non-archival paper boxes leak acidic vapours, and vinyl pages leak volatile agents that can make the film emulsion stick to the negatives. Ring binder pages can be stored either in binders or in hanging files.
Then, you'll need to keep your negatives safe from moisture and damage. Store your negatives in a warm, dry place, and keep your negatives and prints in separate boxes / albums and places.
