All papers, plastics and adhesives used in our storage sheets have passed the P.A.T....
The P.A.T. (or Photographic Activity Test) was developed by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI IT9.16) and is a test to determine whether or not a storage material will cause fading or staining in photographs.
The test involves incubating materials in temperature- and humidity- controlled chambers to simulate aging and takes from 4 to 6 weeks to determine if materials are considered stable and non-damaging to photographs in the short or long term. |
