Are you having trouble knowing where to start Scrapbooking? There is no right or wrong way to do it. Here are some tips to help you get started and list the most important supplies that will set you on the path to successful scrapbooking.

Scrapbooking materials:

Pile photos

Photos:

The best way to begin is by sorting photographs. Organize and sort you photos by subject such as people, events, places, activities, things, time, etc. Select no more than 2 or 3 pictures per Scrapbook page. Choose a corner or room in your house where you can spread out your work for easier scrapbooking.

Albums scrapbooking

A scrapbook:

The most important scrapbooking supply is the album itself, which can be permanently bound or allow for insertion of pages. Modern scrapbooking is done largely on 12''x12'' or 8 1/2 x 8'' x 8''.  Our scrapbooking albums were specially designed to enable you to add or withdraw pages: Adeli (réf. PL459601), Zinia (réf. PL469702) and Bakari (réf. PATPV856).

Papier scrap

Acid-free materials:

One of the key to successful scrapbooking is to use acid-free and lignin-free products. Lignin is a natural, acidic substance found in most papers, used for strength and stiffness. It causes chemical degradation of your photos and will cause them to turn yellow over time. Acid-free materials are designed to preserve photographs and journaling in their original state.

Basic materials included cissors and ruler. However, more elaborate designs require more specialized tools such as die cut templates, rubber stamps, craft punches, stencils, inking tools, eyelet setters, etc.

Embellissements

Embellishments:

Various accessories, referred to as embellishments, are used to decorate scrapbook pages. Embellishments include Stickers, stamps, ribbons, brads, alphabet letters, etc.

In addition to the collection of photographs, tickets, postcards, embellishments, and other Memorabilia, journaling is an essential element in modern scrapbooking. Journaling can be no more than dating photographs but it is often more than that. It provide an accounting of family histories that may otherwise not be preserved.
