Term Definition
ScrapbookA collection of memories. Usually includes photos and journaling, although by definition a scrapbook can include anything memorable such as newspaper clippings, certificates, locks of hair, etc. Also known as Memory Books.
 
ScrapbookingPreserving photos and memorabilia by creatively placing them in photo albums or books called "scrapbooks". A scrapbook includes journaling (telling the story behind the photos) as well as memorabilia (tickets, certificates, letters, etc.). 
 
Self-adhesive sheet albumPeel-back photo album. Also known as self-adhesive photo albums, these have flat pages with a clear peel-back cover that allows you to position the photo in place on the page and then you simply smooth the cover back over the page. This holds the photo in place and allows you to adjust the photo or change them if you want to.
 
Sepia1) A dark brown color. 2) A dark brown pigment, used in paints and inks.
 
Sheet protectorPockets made of clear plastic to slip over a finished album page. They can be side-loading or top-loading. It is important that they are acid-free. Polypropylene (vinyl), commonly available for office use, is not of archival quality and should not be included in albums.
